Winter Hair Care Season is Here

Philip B Conditioner For Winter Hair

Winter Hair Strategies Needed on East Coast

It is usually December before we start writing about winter hair issues, but this year it looks like those of you on the East coast are in for a long winter, so we’ll give you an early start on your winter hair care routines.

We all know what dry winter weather and indoor heating can do to your skin,” says hair treatment expert Philip B. “But people forget that they can really sap moisture from their hair, too.” Here’s how to keep your strands from succumbing to post-winter blahs:

  • Be sure to use a gentle, nourishing shampoo and conditioner. For fine hair, only condition from ends to mid-shaft to avoid weighing it down. Another tip from Philip: “If you shampoo your hair daily, consider just rinsing and conditioning it on alternate days.”.
  • An apple vinegar rinse is an old-fashioned remedy. “It will automatically make your hair shinier, easier to detangle and will help prevent frizz and flyaways,” he says..
  • Give your locks an extra shot of moisture by using a product like Philip B Lovin’ Leave-in Conditioner, which can also work as a styling aid. “Just rub a dab between your fingers and smooth it through the bottom half of hair for a shiny, piece-y effect.”.
  • Apply an intensive conditioning treatment once a week for super-healthy locks. Philip recommends his own
Katira Hair Masquetreatment for coarse, curly hair, which tends to be dry no matter the season—it fills in damaged areas and restores softness and manageability.
